The Bemidji Downtown Alliance is a member driven nonprofit organization working to promote and enhance our downtown. While the majority of our membership is downtown businesses and organizations, anyone with an interest in our downtown can join as either a business or individual.
Our organization has been working in downtown Bemidji for several decades using the name Downtown Development Authority. In the past several years, we have refreshed our mission statement, our logo, or website, our boundaries and most recently our name, in an effort to define who we are and what we will be doing in downtown Bemidji.
Membership dues are used primarily for ongoing expenses such as marketing our downtown, promoting downtown events and maintaining downtown assets. Read more about what we do.
Our board of directors is composed of members elected at our annual meeting, which is held each January and is open to all current and prospective members. Directors serve staggered three year terms.
Our Board Meetings are held the second Wednesday of the month at the Northwest Minnesota Foundation conference. Meetings start at 7:45 a.m. and are open to anyone interested in downtown Bemidji. Want to see what took place at the last meeting? View our monthly minutes.
